Not sure why the vet can’t come and examine the dog with you in the room.

Everyone at BGAH is friendly, accommodating and seems to genuinely care for my dogs. Dr. Schaele is amazing! He goes out of his way to make sure you understand your animal’s health issues and truly seems to care for their well-being.

They are always very gentle with our anxious dog, which helps him feel better about the entire process. Prices are good and the doctors and staff are great.

W.S. On Tuesday, September 27th, we had the good fortune of going to Buffalo Grove Animal Hospital for the first time. We met Dr. Schaele, and some of his wonderful staff; Michele, Tracey, and Erika. After answering their probing questions as to what might be causing our cat’s weight loss, she was introduced to Dr. Schaele. After the exam was finished, the doctor explained the conditions and causes of our cat’s problem. He made sure we understood what was happening, why they were happening, and told us how he came to these conclusions. Our worries were greatly relieved. I wish some of my doctors were as thorough. We will definitely be using Buffalo Grove Animal Hospital for all future veterinary care.. Once again we are writing the praises of the doctors and staff at Buffalo Grove Animal Hospital. The fuzzy member of our family, a two year old cat, recently became sick. We immediately called BGAH requesting an emergency appointment. They were able to see us that day. Everyone was concerned and extremely helpful. After the doctor did a thorough exam and some lab tests, medicine was prescribed. After the first application of this medicine, we saw vast improvement. The day after we administered the medicine, the doctor called to follow-up on our fuzzy baby’s condition. We really recommend BGAH to anyone who loves their fur babies.

S. We brought our old, nervous cat here for her annual checkup and for as much of a mess as she made on the drive over about it, the experience at Buffalo Grove Animal Hospital was top notch.. We were greeted, checked in, and seated in an exam room within minutes of arriving for our appointment. Kitty was whisked away, checked up, toweled down, vaccinated and back to us in no time.. Easily the fastest vet appointment we've ever had, and yet not for rushing. We had plenty of time to discuss everything with the vet and form a plan for her health going forward.. Overall this place has friendly staff and great service, we'll be back for sure!

S.P. I have had the toughest time with my elderly dog. They have been nothing short of supportive and Dr. Schaele has been nothing but kind and willing to work with me. I cannot tell you how amazing and loving the staff is, truly a pleasure I cannot imagine going anywhere else for a vet. Highly recommend them.

When we got our first puppy at 8 weeks old, we started at a different vet clinic simply due to proximity - they were awful, and we quickly realized we had to switch. Thank goodness for Buffalo Grove Animal Hospital because they have been absolutely exceptional! Their communication is excellent, you always know what's going on with your pet, they are organized, they help you understand which vaccinations and medications your pet needs and when, and always offer you their honest opinions. They're extremely transparent, their pricing is competitive, and everyone that works here treats your pet like it's their own. Our lab puppy loves going to the vet because this place is so wonderful!
