    • Friendly staff, knowledgeable doctors, excellent care for your fur babies!.
    • Their service has greatly declined as their prices have risen.
    • Needless to say, we switched to this vet and our family couldn’t be happier.

M.A.O. This was my experience as someone who knew their dog was in his last days. He'd gone blind at the start of it, but seemed fine because he was still eating, drinking, and having bowel movements. Went to the vet two days prior and didn't seem to be in any pain. But the day of, he was suddenly in a lot of pain, and his veterinarian was in surgery that day so even though we felt it was time, he'd have to wait 4 hours. And that was just not good enough. We'd actually called 5 other veterinary centers who all stated they were too busy (more than an hour's wait) or also in surgery and then decided to drive directly to Barton Heights to make sure he could be seen right away.. I'm happy to say that I was treated very graciously and with sympathy and everyone was very kind to my family and my dog in his last moments. And I will always be grateful for that. As for the process, there are a few choices of urns and wooden boxes from Abbey Glen and they said it would about two weeks to get his ashes back. I opted for individual cremation and the total was around $500. I don't know if the price is different for those who regularly see the vets there, but again, as we were having an emergency so price was no object and I am very thankful we could be seen right away.
K.P. This emergency animal hospital was absolutely superb! My puppy swallowed a sock at 10:30pm. My local animal hospital would not let us bring him in because they did not have a surgeon on duty! They did, however, refer me to Barton Heights. This hospital is 1 hr and 15min from my home. I called them and they immediately said bring him in and got ready for our arrival. I was a mess. As soon as we arrived, they were ready for worst case scenario. Let me make this part very clear, they did inform me during my call about the exam fee, however, upon our arrival they TREATED MY PUPPY FIRST and THEN I made payment. They did not jeopardize his emergency by having me fill out a book of paperwork. They saved him first! I just wish I lived closer. The technician and doctor were compassionate, caring and got my pup to throw the sock up without any complications. I will be forever grateful to them! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! 100 stars if possible.
N.Y. Brought my dog here today with a puncture wound he was bit by another dog. They took us in very quickly, and my boy doesn't like strangers. However, the doctor was very patient with him and took her time yet was still quick and fixed my baby right up.. only downside was they give no price before and 400 for a visit and meds with no sutures seemed a bit steep but my boy is ok and I'm happy for that. I need my other dog spayed but will ask for an estimate first.
H.H. I've had two experiences with this vet,. One on an emergency bases during COVID lock down and my emergency was well handled and they were well organized and took care of my dog without further problems. And my second the vet himself was so willing listen to us about what we as the pet parent felt might be going on with my great Dane we can to an agreed plan of treatment. Very happy with the customer service and treatment plan.
J.K. I was relieved they were able to see my very sick kitten the same day. They quickly determined what was causing his weight loss and didn’t suggest any extra tests. After some fluids and medication, my little guy was acting more like himself by the next day. Very caring staff and great care. Worth the drive!
G.D. Costs more then the others but worth it in my opinion. The staff is caring and passionate about animals. This visit was to get a rescue checked out. We previously took one of older cats, it was during covid and we had to let the staff go inside with our cat and we had to wait in the car. This is the only place we will take our kitties.
J.S. I brought my puppy in when he was extremely ill with pneumonia and this hospital honestly saved his life. He was not eating or drinking, he was very lethargic and he was having issues clearing the fluids in his lungs. He needed to be admitted and they provided him with iv antibiotics as well as other necessary treatments. Not only did they help save him but they provided so much love and care. They told me to call anytime I needed and made me feel calm in a time of distress. I never doubted that he was in good hands. After he was feeling a little better I was able to pick him up. They gave me medication to help him get over the pneumonia. They also had me bring him back for follow up x-rays to make sure the pneumonia had cleared. The women at the front desk are also extremely nice and professional. I cannot thank everyone at this hospital enough for saving my Waffles! I highly recommend taking your pet here!
H.R. We brought our Nancy in after she got into a tussle with our other dog over food. Poor Nancy got beat up pretty good, and needed some antibiotics, stitches, and a drainage on her leg where she got bit up the most. I live an hour away from this hospital, and they were the ONLY place to take us in when we desperately needed help. They were absolutely fantastic with our baby and showed nothing but love and empathy. I would recommend this veterinary hospital to anyone and I will continue to bring my pets here in the future. They were cheap compared to other veterinary hospitals I’ve been to and fast. I brought Nancy in at 10:30 and they had her prepping for surgery by 11:30 and sent me on my way while they took care of her. I will forever be grateful for all their hard work they put in to help my girl feel better ❤️.
