G.L. We started using Pioneer when the other vet more or less blew us off. These guys are very good and caring. I just recently had to have our family pet put down.. very professional in all manners.
P.H. Our great dane mix has anxiety about new places, but he did an excellent job on his first visit thanks to the great staff. Very friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and extremely patient while he got himself acclimated. Truly appreciate their prompt response to messages and booking appointments as well. Looking forward to taking our other 3 pups to Pioneer Animal Hospital.
N.P. All of the personnel were pleasant. They treated me and my dog great. They resolved all his problems. He is not the easiest dog to handle but he came out stress free. I would recommend them highly.
A.C. I was glad to get an appointment and people are nice. I think vet costs are high in general. I just wish he'd have explained the costs of treatment for my first dog before putting her name on the medication. That way I could do what I could afford. Vet costs can get high when you have two dogs. Also I absolutely do not like my dog getting examined in a different room than I am in. They take them in a different room to do the examination. How does the owner know they have been examined at all? If the doctor comes back in the same room with you anyway, "how does this have to do with Covid?" It all was pretty strange. On the second dog, they helped with the cost situation which I did appreciate! But I was still feeling upset from the first dog at the same time. I kind of felt like I came in for one thing and he found ten other things to charge for. ?‍♀️ We all want to do what's best for our dogs and don't mind paying for them to be healthy. But for some vet care can mean not paying other bills or getting behind.
S.F. Excellent service for my emergency. Was very very accommodating. My sweet Jax(snorky) couldn't walk or relieve himself. 7:45 am( before Business hours) they accommodated us! Made no promises to treatment, yet they took him in. I had been to two animal hospitals prior and was turned away. Now just 2 days later back to normal. Bladder infection. Praise the nurses and Dr Dr. Wood!
V.B. I ended up here because my regular vet was booked solid on a Saturday, and my newly adopted 10yo cat desperately needed to be seen. Starting with the gentleman on the phone, I was treated with an extraordinary amount of professionalism and courtesy to include being greeted at the door and immediately escorted in the exam room. I was so impressed to see that dogs & cats get different entrances, waiting areas AND exam rooms which must feel like such a luxury for my nervous cat who doesn't love dogs. Dr. Wood was excellent to both me and my cat, picked up on a few things that were missed by my regular vet only 5 days prior, and answered ALL of my questions, which was a lot. He spent more time educating me than any vet has before. The whole staff chatted with me about their own cats, which was cool. I am so grateful and will be taking both of my cats to this office for their routine care from now on.. Update: I would like to update this and add that since my initial encounter here, I have faced many challenges with my cats to include having to euthanize one due to cancer, and very frequent urinary issues with the other. I also board my cats here whenever I travel. I have always been treated like the most important client of the day even though they always seem so busy, and they are just so good to me. Every situation I have faced has been handled delicately yet Dr. Wood does not dance around anything, he is straightforward and professional while showing an incredible amount of compassion. He helps me make tough decisions by "talking things through" and welcomes me to come back or call if I need to talk it over again. All the staff seem to genuinely adore my animals which translates to excellent care all around. I am so grateful I found this place and I will be so disappointed when the military moves me again and I have to find a new one; they will be a tough act to follow.
L.G. My dog is a challenge for vets and is very touch sensitive. Dr. Woods and his staff have been more than accommodating and understanding of my dogs needs. They also have well out of their way to meet his needs which puts me at ease. Not only that, but despite the extra needs and attention my dog needs, Dr. Woods still charges a fair and reasonable price. During the challenges brought forth with COVID and the regulations that businesses have to follow, Dr. Woods took extra measures to help get my dog in for his appointments. Dr. Woods is a very personable vet as well and does a great job explaining the medical issues in an understandable manner as well as still being emphatic. I would recommend Pioneer Animal Hospital to anyone. I appreciate all that they have done for me and my dog.
