C.T.Unfortunately, my first visit here was to put my cat to sleep, and I was devastated. They were very compasionate and gave me all the time I needed. We got to pick up a paw print and a lock of hair which was a nice touch. I've since taken my dog twice and my other cat once. Really like this place.
R.R.The best vet in north Fresno by far! All the staff is so sweet and helpful. I was even able to refill a medication for fleas and ticks + get my dog's glands expressed same day without having to see a doctor! (We'd previously seen a doctor 6 mo before. ) Can't recommend enough.
M.I always feel confident when working with their staff. I’ve had my pets go to many vets and they by far are the most professional. I would say a bit more pricey but totally worth it.
K.B.Every time I have taken both my dog and my cat to Waterhouse, I have had a positive experience with the friendly front desk staff, as well as the veterinarians and assistants. All of the doctors and staff have been very compassionate and patient, and when recommending treatment, I have been presented with different options and have never felt pressured to run expensive tests and procedures as a first option. When my dog had a dental procedure which would mean she would go under anesthesia, the staff was very communicative and reassuring, and called me a couple times with updates just to let me know she was doing okay. I appreciate the kindness and care each time I visit with my pets, and would absolutely recommend Waterhouse to friends and family.
S.K.Front office staff is always amazing to deal with and Natalie the surgery tech is so awesome. Have two dogs Bella and Hazel that go to Waterhouse and always have the greatest care. Dr. Schreiber is amazing and recommend her to all my family and friends, she literally gets on the floor to work with your pet in the exam room and 100% makes them feel comfortable being there. My golden Bella recently was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma. And Dr. Williams and Dr. Eid have been super amazing during her leg amputation surgery. Receiving constant updates, photos of her all awake after surgery. They have also been super helpful in getting her set up with an oncologist too. Going to Waterhouse you are definitely getting the best care possible for your pet and would not take my pets anywhere else. Thank you Waterhouse team and Dr. Schreiber, Dr. Williams, and Dr. Eid!
S.C.The people who work here are so amazing and kind. My dog had an emergency a few months ago and was at risk for liver failure due to him getting into some gum with xylitol in it. Dr. Page was immediately on top of things and since I couldn't go in with him due to Covid restrictions, she gave me regular updates and was there personally when I had any questions. I'm pretty sure my dog wouldn't be alive if it weren't for them working so quickly and efficiently. All of the vet techs are so nice as well, you can tell they're all there for the right reasons- cause they care for the animals that come through their doors. They're now my primary vet and I couldn't be happier with how they treat me, but more importantly, my baby boy. Thank you! Update:. Just wanted to add a quick update and reaffirm my deep appreciation for all the wonderful people who work here. My dog found a squirrel in a bush one night and decided he wanted to give it a friendly greeting (with his mouth). He didn't bite and I know squirrels don't typically carry rabies, but I was still fearful as the squirrel was obviously previously injured from something and my dog was actually due for a rabies shot that month. You can never be too safe when it comes to rabies and so I called the next day and the vet tech I talked to was so thorough and went above and beyond. They fit me in even though when I arrived, they were obviously full. Despite that, they took me in so quickly and even went ahead and completed an appointment I had scheduled a couple weeks in the future for some more vaccines+Heartworm blood test. Wasn't there for more than 30 mins, but the entire time, I never felt rushed or not cared for despite how busy it was. I continue to be impressed by how great Waterhouse Vet is and especially Dr. Page. Thank you again!
L.L.N.Best experience that I have ever encountered as a 40 year pet owner. Dr. Thiels DVM was so thorough and compassionate. He was able to diagnose my Chihuahua's metastatic cancer the same visit with their state of the art technology on site. This saved us from a stressful, complicated surgery and will allow us time to prepare emotionally for the inevitable. Their staff is so professional and efficient. We are so blessed to have this exceptional hospital in Fresno. Thank you Waterhouse Animal hospital staff for all your dedication and expertise. I am extremely grateful.
M.S.If it wasn't for this place my dog wouldn't had made it past age 5. I have a doberman who has a rare autoimmune that manifests itself in deadly fevers with absolutely no other symptoms. No one I went to could figure out what was wrong with her. The vet I had been going to finally said there was nothing more he could do for her and basically gave her a death sentence. However, when she didnt have these fevers, she was a young, happy, healthy dog, so I couldn't bring myself to give up on her when she had so much life in her otherwise. After many moments of saying my goodbyes, failed treatments and the piling vet bills, I brought her to Waterhouse as a desperate last ditch effort. Her current vet met her during one of her scary "episodes" and pinpointed the problem on the first visit! Honestly they can be pricey but they are the best in diagnostics. My vet is awesome and because he understands how much money I had put into treatments before coming here he is always thinking of ways to keep the cost down for me. My dog is now 7 years old and perfectly healthy. I am so glad I took the chance and came here.
