Shawsheen Animal Hospital was founded in April of 2001 by Drs Caruso and Leblanc. At that time they could only hire 1 staff member to help get this small practice off the ground. Within 1 year the practice had grown enough to support 3 full time staff members and that number has risen every year since.

In the 5 years we have been open; the hospital has been remodeled completely and redesigned to provide you with the utmost comfort along with state of the art facilities. Our trained and caring staff is here to provide the latest in preventative and progressive care available.

Drs Caruso and Leblanc have a dream to one day expand the hospital into a luxury boarding and grooming facility as well as a 24 hour emergency care hospital.

We would like to thank all of our wonderful and supportive clients who entrust us with their pet's well being. We could not have grown so much in such a short amount of time if it wasn't for all of you. Thank you for helping us achieve our dreams!

S.B. Words don't exist to express how amazing these people are. Everyone on staff at Shawsheen Animal Hospital is as devoted to the health of your animals as you are. We bring all of our dogs there, and have been a client for many years.. I recently had a scare with my senior dog Van Gogh and they did everything in their power to help get the answers all the time being caring, empathetic and determined. They are beyond caring and willing to go above and beyond to help you and your pet have a positive visit. They were on our side when something went to appeal through the pet insurance as well. They are superheroes.

A.M. Shawsheen Animal Hospital is the best! Our 2 dogs LOVE the staff, love the doctors & honestly forget that they're at the doctor when they walk in because of the welcoming & friendly environment.

I brought my cat to Shawsheen after she had been showing signs of lethargy and a decreased appetite, and I cannot begin to thank them for the incredible level of care they provided to both her and to me. Dr. Mayer, Dr. Tomlinson and Dr. Caruso were so kind, attentive and communicative, explaining everything to me and talking me through each step of their treatment. The staff were equally as compassionate, even taking the time to sit with my cat as she was recovering and giving her so much individualized attention and love. Each member of that entire team were beyond exceptional. I would recommend them to anyone looking for veterinary care.

E.P. So happy I took my kitty to Shawsheen Animal Hospital. Great staff, very friendly and doctor was great at explaining treatment and actually treating my cat. I was taking him to Bandfield at Petsmart and they were not good at all. Happy I got a flyer in the mail about Shawsheen because it’s actually closer to my house and makes me feel better about taking my cat somewhere they actually know what they’re doing.
